1.1 How to register as a Fotomax's online member?
Fotomax's online member enjoys 1.0GB online space and other online services FREE of charge. To register as a member, simple follow the steps below:
1. Select "New Registration" at front page, or click here
2. Fill in your information including contact phone, email address, password and name ¡K etc
3. Click "Register" to finish
Your account will be effective immediately after successful registration. Then you will receive a welcome email.

1.2 What kind of services I can enjoy as an online member?
After the free online registration, you will have 1.0GB online space plus other online offers including online album, online printing and Fotomax's exclusive online photo collection service. Member is also entitled to earn bonus point for online printing service at Fotomax website or for spending on photofinishing, digital imaging services and merchandises at Fotomax shops. The cumulative points can be used to redeem selected services or products for free or at special redemption price at Fotomax website

1.3 Do I need to pay for registration/ membership fee?
It is FREE to register as a Fotomax's online member! All you have to do is to fill in the required information.

1.4 How to login to my account?
For login, just fill in your email address / member card number and password, then click to login.

1.5 About member's personal information.
Your information provided is only used for identity verification and internal use. All the information is kept confidentially. You can refer to Privacy Law for details.

1.6 What if I forgot my password?
Just select "Forgot my password" in the front page and then fill in your email address. Then we will email you your password.

1.7 How to change my password?
Follow the steps below:
1. Login to Fotomax website
2. Select "Member Info", which is located at the upper part of the screen.
3. Click "Change information" >
"Edit Profile".
4. Enter the old password
5. Click the box ¡§Change password¡¨ and enter the new password (8-10 number)
6. Click "Change" for update
The new password will be effective when you login next time.

1.8 How to change my personal information?
Follow the steps below to change your personal information:
1. Login to Fotomax website
2. Select "Member Info", which is located at the upper part of the screen.
3. Click "Change Information">
"Edit Profile"
4. Select and change your personal information
5. Click "Change" to finish
All the information will be updated immediately when you finish.

2. My Album

2.1 What is My Album?
My Album is a personal digital images album which is saved in the Fotomax website. You could create many digital image albums in My Album. You can sort out different kinds of images for later review. Besides, you can also:
> Rename an album
> Share the whole or part of an album to your friends
> View the Exif info of images (if available)
> Share the whole or part of an album to your friends
> Online order for printing

2.2 How to create a new album?
You just need to click "Add New Album" or "Add Album" after you login to "My Album". Then enter an album name and your new album us created.

2.3 How to rename an album?
After an album is created, you can rename it freely:
1. Click "My Album"
2. Select an album you want to rename
3. Click "Rename" button (upper part of the screen)
4. Enter the new name of the album
5. Click "Change" to finish

2.4 How to share an album to friends?
You can share all the images in an album to your friends. To share images:
1. Click "My Album"
2. Select an album you want to share
3. Click "Share Album Photo" button (upper part of the screen)
4. Select "Email Group" at "Select Sharing List", then click to add emails to the Share List. You can also select your friends' information from the "My Address Book".
5. After you enter all the information at "Sharing List", click "Add
" to next step, enter "Shared Name" and "Message", then click "Next"
6. Final confirm the information and click "Send"
After you shared a album, your friends just need to login to Fotomax website (your friends¡¦ email should be same as their registered membership), then they can view the images immediately. They can also order photos and move images to their own album for permanent storage.

2.5 How to delete an album?
To delete an album:
1. Click "My Album"
2. Select an album you want to delete
3. Click "Delete" button, (upper part of the screen).

3. My Image-Add in /Delete

Attention: You should keep the copies of your image files. All the uploaded images could not be downloaded.

3.1 How to add image into My Album?
When a new album is created, you can upload your favorite image to the album. For your convenient, we provide 2 upload methods:

1. Standard Upload ¡V you can add up to 10 images every time, suitable for small amount images upload
2. Bulk Upload ¡V drag and paste the image files from your folder or whole folder to the browser for upload, suitable for large amount images upload
¡@

3.2 Use "Standard Upload" method:
1. Click "My Album"
2. Select an image album
3. Click "Add Photo" button (upper part of the screen)
4. Select "Standard Upload" and select the number of image you want to upload
5. Select album and click "Browse" to select the images, and then click "Upload"
6. When the upload is finished, you can then edit your uploaded image's information, then click "Confirm" to finish

3.3 Use "Bulk Upload" method:
1. Click "My Album"
2. Select a image album, then click "Add Photo" button (upper part of the screen)
3. Select "Bulk Upload" and "Start"
4. If you are first using "Bulk Upload", the browser (Internet Explorer or browsers those support ActiveX) will remind you to install a Image Uploader control. Installation will take up to few minutes, please be patient. To install Image Uploader, please click on the Information Bar and select Install ActiveX Control from the dropdown menu. After page reload click Install when you see the control installation dialog.

If your browser supports JAVA applet (e.g. FireFox, Safari...), please click "Trust" to install the applet.

5. Open the folder with image files (use My Computer or Windows Program Files)
6. Minimize the window of that folder, select all the images you want
7. Drag and paste the image files to the "Drag to here" part at the browser screen. Please wait patiently while uploading.
8. When the upload is finished, you can edit your uploaded image's information.

3.4 What kind of image file I can upload?
Only the JPEG format is accepted by the online album. Thus, please make sure if your image file is in JPEG format before upload.

3.5 What size of images should I upload?
The default online space for a Fotomax's online member is 1.0GB and the max. size of image is 4000 x 4000 in pixels

3.6 Can I move my images to another album?
You can move your images to any other album. To move your images:
1. Click "My Album"
2. Open an album, then select the images you want
3. Select "Move Photo" button

3.7 How to delete images in an album?
Select the images you want to delete in the album, then click "Delete Photo" button. Attention: The deleted images could not be retrieved, please select carefully.

5.1 How to share My Album?
You can share all the images in an album to your friends. To share album:

5.2 Can I just share a part of my album?
You can select a part of your album to your friends. To share:
1. Click "My Album" and select image album,
2. Select the images you want to share
3. Click "Share Photo" button (upper part of the screen)
4. Select "Email Group" at "Select Sharing List", then click to add emails to the Share List. You can also select your friends' information from the "My Address Book".
5. After you enter all the information at "Sharing List", click "Add

5.3 How can I view those images after I receive a share email?
If you receive a "Fotomax Photo Sharing" email that means your friend shares images to you. You just need to login to Fotomax's website, then go to "Sharing" button to view your friend's shared album. (If you are not a Fotomax's online member, please register first.)

5.4 How to use Address Book to share image?
You can save your friends email address to "My Address Book" and divide different friend's group. To share image with address book, you just need to select email address in "My Address Book" at the "Photo sharing" page, then add into Share List.

6 Online Printing - Place Order

6.1 How to order photo?
Please login first, then click "My Album". After the images that you want to print, click "Order Album Photo".
1. Fill in the print size and quantity, then click "Continue". You can also select printing all the images with the same size and quantity by using the tool box at the top. To delete any single image, just click the "Delete" button below each image.
2. Select Pick-Up method:
  (i) Select Fotomax, and then choose the designated outlet.
     (Please check the opening hours of your selected outlet)
  (ii) Select Mailing service and fill in the mailing details.
3. Fill in customer's and recipient's information. If you choose mailing service, please fill in the mailing details.
4. Confirm all the order information and click "Pay" to proceed to payment.
5. Click "Continue" to go to the secured payment platform of "PayDollar (Hong Kong) Ltd." and proceed with credit payment.
6. After order confirmation, an e-receipt will be sent to your submitted email address. Order details including pick-up time and outlet
   and order information will be listed in the e-receipt. Please keep the e-receipt for order reference. Besides, we suggest you to print
   the e-receipt out and bring along with you for order pick-up

6.2 What is the minimum resolution required for printing photos?
Photo quality is in proportion to the resolution of image file. It is important to ensure that the image file reaches the min. resolution for printing the photo size required. Please refer to the resolution table below for minimum printing quality recommendation.

6.3 Is there any minimum order quantity?
There is no minimum requirement on printing quantity. Yet, all printing orders must be of HK$12 or above.

 

6.4 Photo Cropping of Print from Digital Media
Most digital cameras capture images in the ratio of 4:3. If we print these digital images on traditional photo paper which is in the radio of 3:2, there will be cropping of the images. You can choose one of the following ways to print the photos out.

 

Fill-In
Fully cover the photo paper with the digital images. However, the upper and lower part of the images will be cropped away.


Fit-In
Print the whole digital image on the photo paper.


Direct Out
If you do not need our adjustment of color and contrast for your digital file, please select "Direct Output". However, please note that the color and contrast of digital file view on monitor may not be the same as that printed on photo paper.

6.6 How to pick up order?
You can pick up your order at any Fotomax outlets or, by mail. If you choose to pick up at Fotomax Stores, you can also have someone to pick up the order for you. For self-pick-up, we suggest you to:
>Print and bring along the e-receipt to the selected outlet and, present to shop staff for pick up verification. Or,
> Provide the customer name, contact phone number and order number for verification.

6.7 Can non-fotomax.com member make order?
Only members can order photos online. However, we offer free online membership. Just complete some simple registration procedures and you will be entitled to exclusive privileges, including 20MB free online storage and attractive "Bonus Scheme".

8.1 How to pay?
Fotomax offers you online credit card (VISA/MASTER) payment.

8.2 Is it secure to pay online in Fotomax.com?
It's secure to pay online in fotomax.com / fotomaxonline.com. You will be referred to the secured payment platform of "AsiaPay" where all the credit card information will be encrypted with 128bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer).
Remarks: fotomax.com/fotomaxonline.com servers do not process or store any credit card information.

8.3 If I accidentally closed the payment windows throughout the payment process, what shell I do?

¡P  ¡´ If you have not submitted credit card information, please click "My Album" to resume the order and pay again.

¡P  ¡´ If you have already submitted credit card information, please go to "Member Info" and check the order status shown in the "Order Record" Section.

¡P  "Paid" Status means payment was processed successfully. Your order is under processing. (For related order information, please click at the order number or refer to e-receipt.)

¡P  ¡´ If your order record is not shown or the status is "Not Paid", the order is being cancelled. There shall be no charge applied to the order.

For any inquiry on payment, we suggest you to call the card issuing bank / organization directly, or click to AsiaPay / PayDollar's "PayDollar PayVerify" system for your credit card transaction query. Or, you may call our Customer Services Hotline 3189 1648 during office hour.

8.4 If there is no response from the payment windows after being waiting for long, what shall I do?
If there is no response from the payment windows for long, it may indicate that problem occurs in the transaction. As payment is processed in the payment platform of AsiaPay and Bank¡¦s server, we suggest you to call the card issuing bank / organization directly to confirm the payment status, or click to AsiaPay / PayDollar's "PayDollar PayVerify" system for your credit card transaction query. 9. Online Printing - Pick up and Reprint

9.1 Can I authorize someone to pick up the order for me?
Yes. Please fill in the information of your relatives/friends in the customer Info of shopping cart and he/she will also receive a copy of the e-receipt. Just ask them to print out the e-receipt and bring along to the selected outlet to pick up the order. Or, you can print the copy of your e-receipt and pass to your relatives/friends and let them pick up for you in the selected outlet.

 

9.2 Can I change the pick-up location?
You cannot change the pick-up location once the order is confirmed as your order will be processed immediately. Therefore, please check after selecting the pick-up outlet.

9.3 If I cannot pick up the order by the pick-up date, what should I do?
All the orders will be kept in the selected outlets for 3 months. Just go to the selected outlet to pick up your order within the period of time.

9.4 Can the order be reprint or refund?
Refunds are not applicable to ALL transactions. 

By Fotomax's exclusive ¡§Online Printing Quality Guarantee", if you are not completely satisfied with your photos for whatever reasons, please bring along the photos and the e-receipt to the pick-up Fotomax outlet within 10 days (from pick-up date) for reprint.

10. Friend's Album

10.1 What is Friend's Album?
Just go into "Sharing" >
"Friend's Albums", then you can view the images your friend shares to you. Please refer to the Help of "My Image-Share" for further details.

10.2 Can I move image from Friend's Album to My Album?
You can move all the images from Friend's Album to My Album. To move:
1. Go to Friend's Album
2. Select the photos you want to move
3. Select exist album name and click "Move Photo" button

 

10.3 Why I could not view the images shared from my friend?
Probably it's because your login email is different from that one in the Share List. Please use the email account that received the Share Email to login.

11.1 How to add email address into Address Book?
You can add your friend's email address into My Address Book. To add email address:
1. Got to "My Album">
"Address Category" and add category, and then click "Email".

2. Fill in your friend's name and email address at "Email Address" on the right hand side of the table
3. Click "Update" to add the email address into Address Book.

11.2 How to edit the email address in the Address Book?
To edit email address:
1. Got to "My Album" >
"Address Category" > "Address Book"

2. Select the email address you want to change in "Email Address"
3. Edit the email address
4. Click "Update" to finish

11.3 How to delete the email address at Address Book?
1. To delete an email address:
2. Got to "My Album" >
"Address Category" > "Address Book"
3. Select the email address you want to delete
4. Tick "Delete Box" to delete the email address

12. Bonus Point Redemption Program

12.1 What is Fotomax Bonus Point Redemption Program?
With Fotomax's unique "Bonus Point Redemption Program", member is entitled to earn Bonus Point for every spending at Fotomax website or Fotomax shops. The cumulative points can be used to redeem selected services or products at Fotomax website or used as payment at Fotomax website and shop. (Every 250 pt. =$1)

12.2 How to earn bonus point under the Bonus Point Redemption program?
Bonus point is earned for purchase of services or products. For every spending of $1 on online printing service, photofinishing and digital imaging services, 5 bonus points will be earned. For every spending of $1 on merchandise, 1 bonus point will be earned.

12.3 What offer can be redeemed by the bonus point?
We are offering the following redemption offer:
1. Member can use the cumulative points to redeem selected services or products for free or at special redemption price at Fotomax website (www.fotomax.com).
2. The cumulative points can also be used as payment at Fotomax website and shop. (Every 250 pt. =$1)

12.4 How to redeem the offer?
1. Member can login to Fotomax online account and select "Online Redeem" to redeem selected services or products;
2. Member can use the bonus points as payment when ordering online printing services at Fotomax website;
3. Member can also use the bonus points as payment when purchasing at Fotomax shops.

12.5 Is there any expiry date for bonus point?
Bonus Point Redemption Program is calculated on an annual basis starting from 1 April of each year. Members have to redeem the points for selected services or products at Fotomax website, or exchange for services or products at Fotomax website or shops on or before 31 March of each year.

12.6 How to use the online coupon?
Member can choose to use the online coupon when ordering online printing service (Shopping cart step "Payment"). System will automatically deduct the amount for the relevant service from payment.
Attention:
1. Only one type of coupon for can be used for each order.
2. When using online coupon, system will automatically deduct the amount for the relevant service from payment. Member dose not need to choose the quantity used.
3. Online coupon cannot be redeem or exchange for cash.
